I mean really, there’s nothing more intoxicating than a brilliant blue sky, the peaceful sound of cicadas and the healing warmth of the sun on your face.

Yet as a grown Mamma, summer is often about changing routines, more time in the kitchen, less time for you and a lot of time with family – which can sometimes be draining.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed, revert to old habits, doubt yourself, or run yourself into the ground trying to be everything for everyone.

For me the best part about summer is also the hardest part – being at the beach with lots of family – my mother, my in-laws, my siblings, not to mention my own husband and two girls. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I get easily overwhelmed. And I tend to lose myself in the chaos if I don’t keep up with my self care routines.
